The role
As a NUCLEAR HVAC ENGINEER under the responsibility of our Engineering Manager, you’ll:
Support Engineering activities in the design, construction, and commissioning phase
Day-to-day you’ll contribute to our design and commissioning process enhancing
Substantiate of reports/designs for installation solutions
Prepare and product substantiation reports for HVAC solutions throughout the entire design
sequences/phases (Concept, Basic, Functional, Detail, Manufacturing, Installation and
Decommissioning)
Provide solutions to design, installation, and commissioning issues by assisting in the
resolution of technical queries
Alert and Provide mentoring support to the engineering manager
This role is full-time, permanent with a hybrid working arrangement. Base locations can be either
Bristol and Bridgwater.
Essential experience
Mechanical Engineer: graduate or first experience in nuclear business or from other business
Knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD tools is appreciated
Qualifications expected
Ideally, degree qualified but HND/HNC level qualification in an engineering discipline with extensive
experience in relevant fields will be considered.
You will be a member of a relevant institution (e.g., IMechE) and hold Chartered status (or have a
clear route through to charters)
Hiring process:
Step 1: Candidates will be enrolled for technical assessment online tests to assess their overview
knowledge of HVAC and nuclear business and related safety.
Step 2: Shortlist candidates with then be selected for an interview with our Engineering Manager in
order to hire our Engineer.
Step 3: An integration training plan will be set through our Nucom+ Training Program. This is
Interactive and face-to-face training sequence to be followed by engineer whilst working under
responsibility to our Engineering Manager on Case studies and ongoing nuclear HVAC projects.
